Featuring 2 compression adjusters, 2 rebound adjusters, and 2 spring preload adjusters the WP 48mm Open Cartridge Fork is highly tune-able. Open cartridge forks are very reliable dampers because of their simple yet effective design as opposed to pressurized forks that feature additional sealing surfaces and drag. The trusted reliability of the WP 48mm Open Cartridge fork is why it is spec for so many KTM off-road models. Most often the stock WP 48mm OC fork is soft and mushy (dives under heavy braking). A hydro-stop oil lock system provides the WP 48mm Open Cartridge with an independent secondary damping system that engages at the end of the fork stroke adding to the overall compression resistance, therefore improving bottoming control. With the correct internal valving modifications the the WP 48mm Open Cartridge fork can go from being good to great.
